Vivian (Rolen) Orr

Vivian Rolen Orr age 83, of Crimson Laurel Way, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2023. A native of Graham County, NC she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Nina Wilson Rolen. She was a member of Roan Mountain Baptist Church and was retired from the banking industry. She was a graduate of Maryville Business College and enjoyed flowers, camping, reading and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren. She was a dedicated and supportive pastors wife to her late husband Reverend Jacob J. Orr Jr.

Survivors include one son Joey Orr (Karen), of Griffin, Georgia, two daughters Ginger Millsaps (Chris), of Prosper, Texas, and Betsy Campbell (Chris), of Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin, one sister Jean Grant (Mackie), of Robbinsville, NC, five grandchildren Lance Millsaps (Brittainy), Kell Farley (Jessica), Kyle Farley (Brenda), Megan Millsaps (Tim), and Jacob Orr (Elizabeth), eight grandchildren Addie, Clay, and Cason Millsaps, Cayma, Christopher, Jarrett, and Paxton Farley, and Nellie Rose Orr.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents and her husband by one brother Edwin Rolen.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 2:00PM in Roan Mountain Baptist Church with Reverend Nathan Silver and Reverend Daniel Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org. Henline - Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the Orr family.
