Sue DeHart Holland
Sue DeHart Holland, age 71, passed away May 30, 2011 surrounded by her children. She was born in Franklin, NC, to the late Glen and Lorena Rowland DeHart. She had previously worked in Day Care and was devoted to children. She was a Member of Big Rock Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Cathy Adams and husband Tim of Cheraw, SC, Donna Gouge and husband Dean of Bakersville, NC, Donita Linton and husband David of Cheraw, SC, and Connie McKinney of Spruce Pine, NC, son Michael Holland and wife Wanda of Cheraw, SC, sisters, Ruby Tallent and Peggy Dills both of Marietta, GA, brother, Bill DeHart of Bakersfield, CA, grandchildren, Heather Caulder, Brad Pitman, Deanna and Katie Gouge, Greg Holland, Candice Reed, Meagan and Will Linton, Davis and Sarah Grace McKinney, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Reverend Max Holland, sisters, Betty Grime and Ruth DeHart, brothers, Lonnie and Glen DeHart Jr.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 4:00PM at the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Bakersville, NC. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Harold Grindstaff, Mark McKinney, Chris Rathbone, and William Ellis will be officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Green Young Cemetery.
