Sandra R. Woody (Sandy)
Sandy Woody age 73 of Spruce Pine, NC passed away Friday, March 17, 2023. She was a native of Spruce Pine, NC and the daughter of the late John and Louella Hollar Robinson. She was a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 23 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church Spruce Pine NC.
Survivors include her son Anthony "Tony" Woody and wife Doraetta of Spruce Pine, daughter Amber Woody and Shane Burleson of Spruce Pine, special daughter Jennifer Snyder of Spruce Pine, granddaughter Lily Woody, grandsons Ryley Woody and Connor Burleson, and brother Johnny Robinson and wife Cathy of Lexington, NC.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Virgil R. Woody, sisters Francis Grindstaff, and Faye Buchanan Snyder, and brothers Gary, Bill, Doug, and Fred Robinson.
A time to support the family share memories and receive friends will be Friday, March 24, 2023 form 2:00PM until 3:00PM in First Baptist Church Spruce Pine. A memorial service will follow at 3:00PM, with Dr. Rocky Branch and speaker Matthew Woody officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that to honor their mother donations be made to Wounded Warriors or Mitchell County Animal Shelter.
