Mike (Spike) Hoilman

Mike (Spike) Hoilman, age 49, of Dogwood Lane, died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Born on February 17, 1970 in Spruce Pine, he was the son of the late Billie Lane Garland (Hoilman). In addition to his mom, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dollie Hoilman; and his uncle, Junior Hoilman.

Spike was an avid collector of guns, coins, and guitars. His happiest days were spent riding ATVS with his children. A General Motors Service Manager for over 10 years, he was highly recognized and received numerous awards. He was recognized as one of the top technicians in the country.

Left to cherish his memories are his son; Luke Hoilman (Abby Grindstaff) of Spruce Pine, his daughter; Hannah Hoilman Montgomery (Zachary Montgomery) of Spruce Pine, and a grandson Landon Montgomery.

In keeping with Mikes wishes, no funeral will be held. A private graveside for his children will take place at a later date.
