Maynard Bryant, 91, of Unicoi, TN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 23, 2022. Maynard was born February 3, 1931 to Dewey and Althea Bryant. He was a beloved husband, daddy, and poppy.
He had worked at Hoover Ball and Roller for 31 years. In his later years, he was a beekeeper at Bryant's Bee Farm, and truly loved working in his bees with family. He was also known for his love of rabbit hunting and raising beagles with his good friend Bill Butler.
He is survived by his wife Lurley Bennett Bryant, son, Kevin Bryant (Lisa), daughter, Kim Carpenter (Ronnie), granddaughters: Amber (Seth), Allie, Kilby (Joe), Kaitlyn, Summer, and Emily, great grandchildren; Eliza, Ezekiel, Landri, Adaline, and Kinslee, brother, Harvey Bryant (Beatrice), special friends, Bud Honeycutt, and Bill Gillis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde and Burgess, sisters, Marie and Cary, grandson, Austin, and great grandson, Grayson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00PM in New Hope Freewill Baptist Church Unicoi, TN, with Revs. Ben James and Bo Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
