Mary Greene

Mary S. Greene, age 82, of Apex, North Carolina went home to be with the Lord on June 4, 2018.

Mary was the daughter of the late Lee and Lossie Thomas of Blountstown, Florida. She graduated from Blountstown High School and attended Massey Business College in Atlanta, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of many years Charles Edward Greene, her three brothers Ferrell, John, and Gerald Thomas, and her precious granddaughters April Robinson and Ashley Robinson.

Mary will always be lovingly remembered by her Daughter and Son in law, Daniel and Ellen Robinson of Apex, NC; Sons: Robert and wife Donna Dostal of Galveston, Texas; Christopher and wife Debbi Dostal of Jacksonville, Florida; Charles E. Greene, Jr. and wife Brenda of Lyman, South Carolina; Michael Anthony Greene of Kingsport, Tennessee; Grandson Benjamin Dostal and husband Jarrett Muncy of Avondale Estates, beautiful grand-daughters—April Robinson, Heather Morris and Ashley Robinson. Georgia and so many wonderful and loving grandchildren, family members and friends who brought such joy to her life.

Mary was an amazing Mother who spent her life devoted to her family.  She loved spending time with friends and loved ones talking, laughing and sharing hugs.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, cheering at Ashley’s baseball games and the time spent with her precious cats over the many years (Buster, Babi, Wiz, Sweetie and most recently, Miss Lovie.  Mary retired with the Army Corps of Engineers only to continue working as supportive care to her local community hospitals.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 at 12:00 (noon) at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery, The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in Henline - Hughes Funeral Home.
