Jerry Joe Pendley

Jerry Joe Pendley, age 60 of George Lane, Spruce Pine, NC went home to be with the Lord September 8, 2022. A native of Catawba County, NC he was a son of the late Paul Edgar Pendley and Mary Pendley who survives. He was previously employed in property maintenance at Land Harbor at Linville.

Jerry was a member of Gouges Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed playing his guitar at services there. He also enjoyed fishing, riding his four wheeler, and especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife Greta Pendley, of the home, twin sister Janet Koopman (Steve), of Spruce Pine, NC, sister Linda Miller (Ronnie), of Lenoir, NC, and brothers Ben Pendley, of Taylorsville, NC, and Jules Pendley, of Nevada, nieces and nephews that were like his children; Nicole, Misty, Ricky Jr., and Beverly, nephews, Tony and Jonathan, one niece Katie and two great nieces and one great nephew.

He was preceded in death by sisters; Joyce, Paulette, Jean, Ella Mae, Patricia, and Judy, and three nephews Dustin, Joey, and Bruce.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 at 4:00PM in Gouges Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Gouges Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
