Jacquelyn Ledford Street, age 66 of Hwy 226N Bakersville, NC passed away May 13, 2011. She was a native of Mitchell County and a retired Teacher with the Mitchell County Public School System where she had 38 years of dedicated service.

Survivors include her mother Ruby Ledford, of Bakersville, NC, her husband, J. R. Street, one daughter, Jocelyn Leigh Street, one son Joseph Jermy Street, both of Bakersville, NC, five sisters, Janice Street, Janie Cook, and Judy Street all of Bakersville, NC, Joyce Clark and June Collier, both of Charlotte, NC, four brothers, Charles, Clinton, Clifford, and Clement Ledford, and special friends Jeff Swain, Flossie and Jery Putman and C. L. and Juanita Shuffler.

She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Ledford.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
