Hazel (Peterson) Bennett

Hazel Peterson Bennett, age 99, of Green Mountain, NC passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Dove and Nora Peterson and the wife of the late Hobert Bennett. In addition she was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine Bennett, Inez Duncan, and Paulette Copp; sons in law, Richard Conley, Tommy Ray, and Donald Woody.

Hazel loved her Lord, and her family, always sewing and making dolls and quilting for them. And working in her "blossoms". She was also a member of Bailey Brethren Church.

Survivors include five children, Annie Mae Woody, Myrtle Murray (Don), Wilbert Bennett, Walter Bennett, and Rebecca Hudgins (Butler); sisters, Carla Jean Peterson and Barbara Tipton; she is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2023 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday in the Bennett Cemetery.
