Danny Grindstaff

Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Danny Grindstaff, age 62 of Snow Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord January 8, 2023. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Andrew and Dorothy King Grindstaff. 

He was an active member and Deacon at Rebels Creek Baptist Church and also a member of the wood ministry at the church. Danny was a kind man and enjoyed helping anyone in the community. He loved the Lord, his family, and his church. His hobbies included feeding and watching the wildlife, cutting wood, and hunting.

Survivors include his wife Lisa Grindstaff, his children; Rachel Grindstaff and husband Dusty, Lindsey Wiseman and husband Cody, Matthew Lowe and wife Kristin, and Justin Lowe, his siblings; Sammie Grindstaff (Debbie), Dennis Grindstaff (Regina), Joyce Woody (Kenneth), Carolyn Yelton (Larry), and Johnny Grindstaff (Lou), and four grandchildren; Amber, Emily, Haydon, and Austin.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his wife Alesia Boone Grindstaff, and a brother Earl Ray Grindstaff.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Daniel Whetstine officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Rebels Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rebels Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
