BONNIE HUGHES

Bonnie Hughes, age 71 of Hughes Gap Rd, Bakersville, NC passed away April 1, 2011 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born in Mitchell County, NC to the late Lewis and Elizabeth Sheets Francis. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by one brother Cliff Francis.

Survivors include her husband Reed Hughes, of the home,  sons, Larry Shuffler and wife Linda, of Buladean, NC, and Jimmy Moffett and fiance Tresha, of Elizabethton, TN, daughter, Phyllis Hornick and husband Charlie, of Baltimore, MD, brother Ralph Francis, of Jonesborough, TN, sisters, Georgia Cloud, of Baltimore, MD, and Jean Cousins, of Johnson City, TN, one sister in law, Christine Odom, five grandchildren, Patrick and David Hornick, Becky Brown, Bryce and Tyler Olsen, one great grandchild Shayolyn, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 4, 2011 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline – Hughes Funeral Home with J C Sheets and John L. Stockton officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:00AM at Hamm Hughes Cemetery (Odoms Chapel Rd).
