Becky Sue Miller went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at her home as she wanted surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed her days out going to yard sales, working in her beautiful flowers and riding her 4-wheeler. She always was a hard worker, great cook and took pride in all she did. She had an expert eye for decorating and enjoyed all her many nick-nacks. She never met a stranger and always had a listening ear for everyone. Becky loved her family with all her heart and has left a hole that cannot be filled, but we must rejoice for her. She will never suffer from sickness and pain again through the saving grace of Christ Jesus and we will be with her again after while!
Becky leaves behind her loving husband, Johnny Miller who has relentlessly stayed by her side. A daughter, Amberly M. Rohr who she raised to be strong and independent and her son in law, Jeremiah who she loved as her own. Her 3 grandsons, Jaxon, Ashton, and Abel who filled her life with excitement and made her so proud. Also her brother, Michael Dodson and wife Julia; her sister, Cristal Scholes and several nieces and nephews. And also her special "sister" in law and yard sale buddy, Elaine Peterson.
She has been reunited in heaven with her oldest daughter, Millicent Lorraine Miller who she has longed to see for 27 years. Her daddy, Jeff Peterson, brother, Steve Peterson, grandparents, Mallie and Judy Peterson and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Words cannot express the gratitude for Hospice of the Blue Ridge of Mitchell County. Without them we would not have been able to be with mom everyday and abide by her last wishes. For that, we will be forever grateful. Thank you! Our goodbyes won't be forever because we will see her again after while.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in the Bailey Independent Brethren Church with David Garland and Marvin Miller officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 PM at the church. Burial will be in the Peterson Family Cemetery on Sams Branch Road. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Home Care of the Blue Ridge, 236 Hospital Drive, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
