Anna Belle McKinney

Anna Belle McKinney, age 83 of Hamburg Rd, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord February 1, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline Buchanan Pittman and a native of Mitchell County, NC. She was a member of New Covenant Church In Christ and was previously employed at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in admissions. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, working in her greenhouse and tending her flowers. Her favorite time was spent with her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Survivors include her husband Buddy McKinney, one daughter Valerie Biddix (Bruce), of Spruce Pine, NC, one son Tony McKinney (Mariah) of Black Mountain, NC, one brother, Arthur Pittman (Irene), of Indonesia, sister in law that she thought of as a sister Betty Jean Bennett, grandchildren; Nikki Lockwood (David), Alex McKinney, and Tyler McKinney, and great grandchild Jacob Lockwood.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by two brothers Robert and Ronnie Pittman, and one grandchild Seth McKinney,

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Tony McKinney and Reverend Russell McKinney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Green Young Cemetery.
