Zola Ellis West, age 92, of Spruce Pine, NC passed away on January 16, 2017 in the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital . A native of Bakersville, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Bertie Wilson Ellis. She was a self employed hairdresser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe L. West; sisters and brothers: Lena Wiseman, Cora Shufford, Ella Johnson, Maggie Robinson, Clingman Ellis, Howard Ellis and Albert Ellis.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna West Gamage and husband Mason of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren: Alex Vogt and Sunshine Nicholson; great grandchildren: Georgia and Mattox Vogt.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
