Winnifred "Winnie" Y. Bridge, age 74, of Bear Creek Church Rd, Bakersville, NC, went home to be with the Lord June 30, 2018. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Woodrow and Eva Ledford Yelton. She was retired from Ellen Knitting Company and was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Charles W. Bridge, of the home, one son Charles Keith Bridge, of Bakersville, NC, and one sister Barbara Jean Yelton, of Hickory, NC.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a half sister Opal Fox, and brothers: Ed, Bill and Clay McKinney, and Jack Yelton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Mike Peterson and Bruce Cannon officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bear Creek Cemetery.
