William (Bill) Yelton, age 77, of Morgan Lane Bakersville, NC passed away August 19, 2016 at Brian Center Health and Rehab in Spruce Pine, NC. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Dora Yelton Hoilman. He was retired from Construction Work and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church . He was also a former member of Marion , NC Moose Lodge.

Survivors include: his wife; Anita Marcell Yelton, of the home, two daughters; Lisa Sparks, of Marion, NC, and Rita Jackson, of Bakersville, NC, one son; Keith Yelton and wife Karen, of Bakersville, NC, four sisters; Gail Lamb, and Shirley Garland, both of Bakersville, NC, Judy Wyant, of Burnsville, NC, and Doris Riddle, of Spruce Pine, NC, three brothers; Donald Hoilman and Robert Yelton, both of Bakersville, NC, and Doug Hoilman, of Johnson City, TN, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: sisters; Linnie Carter, and Gladys Dykes, and two brothers; Mike and Harold Hoilman.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Skip Weiford officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bailey Cemetery ( John Sparks Rd ).
