Wiley Clinton Franks, age 83 of Fork Mountain Rd., Bakersville, NC passed away April 26, 2018 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine, NC. He was a native of Clintwood Virginia and was retired from Maryland Paper Box Company in Baltimore , MD. He was a Veteran of The United States Army.

Survivors include: his wife Hazel R. Franks, of the home, four daughters; Diane Franks, of Burnsville, NC, Teresa Jaccard and Pam Platt, of Maryland, and Joy Waycaster, of Bakersville, NC, one son Russell Franks, of Maryland, ten grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by three sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Lander Heafner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Fork Mountain Cemetery .
