Wendy Rhyne Cresawn, 52, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Betty Jo Mathis Rhyne. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Martin. Wendy was the manager of the Mountain View Restaurant in Spruce Pine. She was a member of the Chapel Baptist Church in Mt Holly, NC and also attended church services at the Secluded Valley Campground. Wendy loved nature, including feeding all the wild animals around her home, loved to cook, read, enjoyed her quiet time and taking care of her dog Charlie.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Cresawn of the home; daughter, Megan Jordan of the home; son, Jason Jordan of Newland; sisters: Cathy Hicks and husband Randy of Belmont, NC and Cheryl Denise Rhyne of Stanley, NC; grandchildren: Kylie of Bakersville and Deziree of Newland and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am Saturday, October 24, 2015 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home followed by the memorial service with Marvin Miller officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The New Horizon Hope Chest, 20 Medical Park Drive , Asheville , NC 28803 , or to the Cresawn Family to help support the feeding of her wild animals that she loved so much.

The family would like to give special thanks to the friends, family and healthcare workers that were involved in Wendy's care and provided so much good food for the family.
