Wanda Byrd Renfro, age 84, of Pigeon Roost Rd. Green Mountain, NC went home to be with the Lord May 14, 2018. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Grover and Lela Byrd. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family, friends, and church family. She attended Lower Pigeon Roost Baptist Church.

Survivors include; her daughter, Sharon Thomas and husband Danny, of Spruce Pine, NC, her son, Jerry Renfro and wife Tammie, of Green Mountain, NC, two sisters: Ima Jean Peterson and Aidean Peterson, both of Green Mountain, NC, three grandchildren: Heather Goforth, Heath Renfro, and Hudson Renfro.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Glen Renfro.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 8:00PM in Lower Pigeon Roost Baptist Church with Marvin Miller and Junior Peterson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1:00PM at Tipton Griffith Cemetery.
