Victoria P. Snipes, age 60 of Savanna Lane , Spruce Pine , NC passed away October 3, 2015 at her home. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late James Hale and June Hollifield Pannell. She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and a Copy Editor with The Mitchell News Journal in Spruce Pine, NC. She was a Veteran of The United States Army.

Survivors include; her husband, Stephen Snipes ,of the home, daughter; Sarah McLain Peterson, and husband Mark, of Bakersville, NC, son; Tyler Snipes, of Spruce Pine, NC, a sister; Patti Morgan, a brother; John Pannell, both of Bakersville, NC, two grandchildren; Caius and Asa Peterson.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her sister, Deborah Grindstaff.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM in Henline - Hughes Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels 152 Ledger School Rd. Bakersville, NC 28705.
