Vada L. Young, 70, of Burnsville, NC passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Lily Branch Baptist Church and a wonderful cook and crafts maker. Vada is preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Young Jr who passed away on September 16th of this year.

Vada is survived by her life long friends, Bertha Huskins and Barbara Brummitt of Bakersville; her wonderful friends and caregivers: Amanda Haney, Marie Lafaela and Tracy Higgins and her special friends of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Don Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Lily Branch Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
