Thomas Malone Buchanan, age 63, was born on June 4, 1958 in Mitchell County. Tom went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior in his Candler home. He was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Buchanan and he leaves behind his loving mother Patty, his brother Mike and wife Vonda, his niece Megan and her daughter Abby; his nephew Russell and wife Madison and their daughters Haley and Amelia; one surviving aunt Melladeen and numerous cousins and their families. All of whom he loved beyond measure.

Mechanically minded and a graduate of AB Tech, Tom was generous with his time and talents. He kept the families washers, refrigerators, cars and tractors in working order. From leaky faucets to doctoring the family cat, part of a dying breed of versatility, he never failed to master the task.

Tom was greatly loved and will be clearly missed.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Will Young Cemetery.
