Tess Clark Burleson Coulter, age 96, of Spruce Pine, NC died May 10, 2019.

Born April 4, 1923 at Pineola, Avery County, NC, daughter of the late George and Flora Benfield Clark, also preceding her in death were her husbands, Hughes Burleson 1964 and Oscar Coulter Sr. 1986, brother, Edgar Clark, sisters, Esther Winters, Melba West and Marguerite Chapman.

Surviving are: daughter, Mary Burleson Montague (Richard), sons, Jack P. Burleson (Carolyn) and Brown Hughes Burleson Jr., all of Spruce Pine, NC, grandson, Ryan Montague of Spruce Pine, NC, and granddaughters, Christina Burleson Gardner (Kenneth) of Spruce Pine, NC, and Olivia Burleson Appling of Rutherfordton, NC, six great grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, and Trinity Gardner, and Jaxon, Cyrus, and Eula Appling.

At her request no services will be held.
