Ted Eugene Stevenson (Gene), 67, of Bakersville, NC passed away on February 8, 2020.  He was a native of Mitchell County, NC.  He was the son of the late Ted and Mary Stevenson.

Survivors include:  his sister, Rita Stevenson Garland of Highlands, NC; two nephews, Rodney Garland (Jennifer) and Shannon Garland (Amy) all of Bakersville.

Also left to cherish his memory are Gene's three great-nephews Chase Garland, Tucker Garland, and Colby Garland; and a great-niece Faith Garland.  They loved spending time laughing and listening to their Uncle Gene tell them stories from his life and adventures.  His loss leaves a void in their hearts.

In honor of his wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service.
