Dateline: Bakersville, NC

Sue Fannon Slagle, age 81 of Tanglewood Rd, Bakersville, NC passed away October 27, 2018. She was a native of Lee County, Virginia and a daughter of the late Wirt and Perla Moore Fannon. Sue was of the Baptist Faith and was retired as a seamstress. She enjoyed quilting, and cooking, and was an excellent seamstress.

Survivors include: three sisters; Lois Kincannon, of Paducah, Kentucky, Phyllis Chauvin, of Huddleston, Virginia, and Virginia Lynn Roark, of Morganton, NC, six brothers; Cecil, James, Otis, and David Fannon, all of Duffield Virginia, William Morgan Fannon, of Westford, Massachusetts, and Thomas Landon Fannon, of Utah, a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Sue was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her husband; Bruce Slagle, a sister; Mary McNeese, and a brother; Fredrick Anderson Fannon.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 29, 2018 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in Henline - Hughes Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:00AM at Red Hill Baptist Cemetery, with Tommy Hensley officiating. Interment will follow the service.
