Sue Honeycutt, age 76, of Odoms Chapel Rd, Bakersville, NC went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, March 21, 2021. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Len and Alice Ledford Burleson. She was retired from Mitchell County CAP program where she was a CNA. She also previously worked at Modern Globe and Hampshire Hosiery. Sue was of the Apostolic Faith and was a member of Church of Lord Jesus Christ Fork Mountain.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 57 years Pastor Douglas Honeycutt, two sons; David Honeycutt (Melissa), of Bakersville, NC, and Matthew Lynn Honeycutt (Crystal), of Elizabethton, TN, one sister; Mary Belle Burleson, of Chase, Maryland, grandchildren; Jacob Honeycutt (April), Kameron Honeycutt (Carrie), Zachary Peters, Jessica Honeycutt, Dianna Peters (Kasey), great grandchildren; Karson Honeycutt, Quinton Silvers and the "love of her life" Piper Faith Honeycutt, her very special friend Pam Phillips, and a special pet Dixie.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 7:00PM in Church of Lord Jesus Christ Fork Mountain, with Pastors G.B. Garland, David Byrd, and Skip Weiford officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00AM at Melton Cemetery (Hughes Gap Rd).
