Steven Scott Hill age 39 of Licklog Rd, Newland NC passed away January 14, 2024. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and employed with Whitson Electric Superior Installations.

Steven attended Mountain View Church in Newland and enjoyed fishing, photography, and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife Morgan Hill, of  Newland, NC, mother Beth Jenkins Hughes, father Howard Hill, grandmother Nora Lee Hill, sister Megan Bennett, mother in law Julie Hughes, special aunt Pauline Jenkins, special granny Jenny Jones, special extended family: Charlie and Dorcas Jones, Patrick Jones, Lexi Jones, and Charlie Hill, his good friends Andy Glass and Grayson Ledford, and his dogs Lucy and Abby.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather who was like a father to him Herbert Jenkins and his grandmother, Mary Jean Jenkins, grandfather JC Hill, and special cousin Reverend Scott Jenkins, and uncle WS Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 at 2:00PM in Middle District Freewill Baptist Church with Reverends Jude Hughes and Blaine Whitson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to help with funeral expense.
