Shirley (Garland) Yelton, age 85, of Finksburg, MD passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, November 5, 2021. A native of Bakersville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Garrett and Mary Greene Garland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Hazel Stevens, Viola Masters, and Nellie Yelton; brothers: Cecil, Ernest, Malone, Roy, and Nattie Garland.

Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking over the years.  She was steadfast in her faith at the Apostolic Assembly of our Lord and Saviour Church.

Survivors include her husband: Eugene Yelton of Finksburg, MD, her daughter: Donna Walter and her husband, David Walter of Baltimore, Maryland; sister: Fairy Mae Carver of Dover, PA.

Shirley will be buried at the Fork Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
