Sandra Yelton Buchanan, age 48 of Hwy 226 S, Bakersville , NC passed away December 21, 2014 at her home. She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church and was previously employed with Outboard Marine Corporation.

Survivors include; her husband William K. Buchanan, of the home, parents; George and Laura Abernathy Yelton, of Bakersville, NC, one daughter; Ashley Dawn Buchanan, of the home, and two sisters; Sharon Hopson, of Burnsville, NC, and Janice Sparks, of Spruce Pine, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00PM in Bear Creek Baptist Church with Chris Rathbone and Matthew Hopson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery .
