Roy Alvin Stevens, age 67, of Bakersville, NC passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at his home. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Stevens; his daughter, Michelle Stevens, and grandparents, Jess and Clarissia Stevens.

Roy worked on many jobs as a millwright until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Stevens; son, Scotty Stevens; sister, Margaret Ann Grindstaff (Roger), and brother, Roger Stevens (Dot); grandchildren: Haley and Timothy Stevens and great grandchildren, Olivia and Journey; brother and sister in law, Bill and Boina Lodbell of Brooker, FL, and special nephews and nieces, Tony and Chase Banks and Megan and Tammy of Bakersville, and  Melissa, Nicole, Debra, Marissa, Leah, Adeline, and Kaylen of Brooker, FL.

The family will hold a celebration of life and gathering of friends Friday, September 1, 2023 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at The Bakersville Creekwalk Pavilion. If friends would like they can bring a covered dish to share a meal with the family.
