Roger Dean Holder of Bakersville, NC passed away of Thursday, December 24, 2020, three days short of his 72nd birthday. He was the son of the late Cliff and Genevieve Buchanan Holder. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of Western Carolina University. Roger loved to read, loved his dog and supported Animal Rescue Services and he loved college basketball.

Survivors include his aunt, Martha Buchanan; several cousins and special friends, Roger and Donna Wyatt.

Private graveside services were held in the Wilson-Young Cemetery.
