Robert Lee Yelton, 78, of  Bakersville, NC passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at this home. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora Yelton Hoilman, sisters: Gladys Dykes and Linnie Carter; brothers: Bill Yelton, Harold Hoilman and Michael Hoilman. Rob was known for his good sense of humor and he loved people especially his granddaughter.

Survivors include his daughter, Felicia Forbes of Bakersville; sisters: Doris Riddle (Gary) of Spruce Pine, Shirley Garland (Gerald) and Gail Hoilman of Bakersville, and Judy Wyant (Ron) of Spruce Pine; brothers: Douglas Hoilman (Ann) of Johnson City,TN, and Donald Hoilman of Bakersville; granddaughter, Kenley Stansberry; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert's body will lie in state from 1:00 until 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home for anyone who would like to come by. The graveside service will be 2:30 PM in the Bailey Cemetery on John Sparks Road in Bakersville. Rev. Kent Murphy will officiate.
