Robert Lee Conley, age 86 of Bakersville , NC , passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his home. He was the son of the late Carroll and Lillian Conley. He retired from the hosiery industry and was the owner of Master's Fabric Shop in Loafers Glory. Robert's hobbies included farming and going to the flea market. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son in law, Brian Peterson.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Barbara Kate Masters Conley; daughters: Sue Brady and husband Rickie of Bakersville, and Becky Peterson of Green Mountain, NC; sons: Robert Conley Jr. and wife Libby of Marion, NC, and Rick Conley of Johnson City, TN; sisters: Genevieve Turbyfill of Bakersville and Peggy Buchanan of Forest City, NC; a honorary brother, L.D. Miller; grandchildren: Tommy Conley, Beth Rhinecker, Justin Conley, Megan Greene, Blake Peterson, Brandon Peterson, Cody Byrd, Jessica Conley and Ridge Conley; also eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Friday, April 7, 2017 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home with Revs. Bill Whiteside and Neil Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowditch Cemetery , Hwy 80, Bakersville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the service time.
