Richard "Ricky" Wayne Burleson, age 64 of Perkins Rd, Bakersville, NC (Buladean Community), passed away January 6, 2022. He was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a son of the late Toye and Trula Campbell Burleson. He was retired as a Millwright Superintendent. Ricky loved his family especially his grandson Grayson Byrd.

He enjoyed his friends, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife Mitzi English Burleson, of the home, one brother Bradley Burleson, of Johnson City, TN, one daughter Lacey Burleson and special friend Eddie Byrd, of Bakersville, NC.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his son Josh Burleson.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Randy English officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
