Randy Keith Houston, age 65, of Newland, NC passed away on June 5, 2024. He was born on May 14, 1959.

Randy was a truck driver and went by the handle "Malibu Kid". Later in life he was a junkman , your trash was his treasure! He was preceded in death by his father, Morrison Wesley Houston, mother, Essie McKinney Houston, 3 sisters, Sandra Setzer, Patricia Houston, and Ann Lovelace, 2 brothers, David Houston and Allen "SY" Houston.

Randy leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Domita Houston, stepson, Christopher "Cam" Large, 2 granddaughters, Dallas Large and Codie Large of Newland, NC, brother, Vance (Deb) Houston of Spruce Pine, NC, sisters, Wilma Furr of Wilmington, NC, and Debbie (Trent) Sheets of Hickory, NC, sister in law, Brenda Houston of Newland, NC; several nieces and nephews with special  nephew Robert Burleson to be mentioned.

We would like to thank all family and friends during this difficult time, with special thanks to Hospice (Amorem Staff) for their help.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM  on Thursday, June 6, 2024 in the Houston Family Cemetery on Powdermill Creek Road with Pastor Michael Burnop officiating.
