Ralph Eugene Capps, age 91, of the Buladean Community, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home. A native of Hendersonville, NC, he was the son of the late Roy and Lela Hart Capps. Ralph was a retired chef and he enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. He loved his church family and listening to gospel music. Ralph also enjoyed woodworking and fishing, and inviting everyone to his occasional fish fry in which all enjoyed. He was also a US Army veteran serving in Korea.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters: Margie Rice, Betty Levi and Glenda Helms.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Virginia (Jenny) B. Capps and family: Sheila Pitman and husband Thomas, Sherry Hoilman, Steve Hoilman; grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Anthony Pitman, Sarah Pitman, Logan Hoilman, and Brandon Pitman; brother in law, Curtis Levi and several nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2021 in the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Randy Wise officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice for the great care and compassion they gave Ralph during his declining health.

Everyone attending the service is asked to please bring and wear a mask to help protect the family and each other.
