Peggy Masters Spurgeon, age 67 of Boone Hill Ct, Johnson City, TN passed away October 3, 2015 at her home. She was a native of Johnson City , TN and the daughter of the late Bill and Edna Gouge Masters.

Peggy was a member of Wheeler United Methodist Church in Blountville , TN. She was office manager and co-owner of Hertz Rent A Car since 1980, and was previously employed in customer service with Piedmont Airlines. She was actively involved with P.T.A at Holston Elementary School .

Survivors include: her sons; Billy Spurgeon, of Blountville, TN, and Sam Spurgeon, and wife Barbara, also of Blountville, TN, two grandchildren; Cayden Spurgeon, and Shelbe Fite, a brother; Dan Masters, of Johnson City, TN, and a niece; Janice Grindstaff Tyler, a great nephew; Isaac Grindstaff, family and friends; Kathy Visneski, Cheryl Milhorn, Mary Parker, and Melanie Beverly.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Dennis J. Spurgeon.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 6:00PM in First Church of The Brethren ( 122 Bart Green Drive , Johnson City , TN ), with Bo Deaton, and Chris Brown officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Dillon, Jonothan Willis, Hunter Walling, Stuart Lawson, Chuck Milhorn, and James Greer.
