Dateline: Green Mountain , NC

Paul Tipton, age 77 of Pigeon Roost Rd , Green Mountain , NC passed away September 8, 2016 at his home. He was a member of Bee Log Baptist Church and was a son of the late Tom Ed and Mae Silvers Tipton.

Survivors include: his wife; Tillie Viola Wiley Tipton, of the home,  one son; Johnathan Paul Tipton, of the home, three stepdaughters; Melissa Whitson (David), of Green Mountain, NC, Adaline Albright, of Charleston, West Virginia, and Betina Mangus (Phillip), also of Charleston, West Virginia, two sisters; Ann Burgess, of Rutherfordton, NC, and Eileen Lane. Four Brothers; Wade Tipton, of Rutherfordton, NC, Merle Tipton, of Erwin, TN, Clyde Tipton, of Burnsville, NC, and Truman Tipton, of Rutherfordton, NC, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his sister Iva.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 8:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Rick Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 1:00PM at Whitson Garland Cemetery ( Beans Creek Rd ).
