Patsy Garland Byrd, age 72 of Bad Creek Rd., Bakersville, NC passed away July 29, 2021. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Zebby Dee and Edna Garland. She was a member of Bad Creek Baptist Church and was employed with Brian Center Health and Rehab.

Survivors include: her son; Scott Byrd, of Tabor City, NC, one sister; Carolyn Sue Garland, of Burnsville, NC, one granddaughter; Lillian Louann Byrd, of Marion, NC, and two cousins; Brenda Yelton, of Erwin, TN, and Rose Marie Yelton, of Bakersville, NC.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her brother, Richard Garland.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021 at 4:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Paul Bennett and Harold Webb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Garland Cemetery (Bad Creek Rd).
