Nell Stevens Ledford, age 89, of Burnsville, NC passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at her home. A native of Mitchell County, she was the daughter of the late Jess and Clarissa Stevens. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ledford Jr. and her sisters: Ruby Stevens and Josie Buchanan. She was a member of the Little Rock Creek Baptist Church, enjoyed walking in the woods, working in her flowers and garden and she loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Buchanan (Greg) of Burnsville; sons: Melvin Hoilman, Marvin Ledford (Corda) and Richard Ledford (Judith) all of Bakersville and Randy Ledford (Donna) of Brevard, NC; sisters: Georgia Garland and Jacqueline Stockton (Jay) of Bakersville; 14 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.nna

Private family services will be held for Mrs. Ledford.
