Dateline: Spruce Pine, NC

Mildred Campbell Sheets was born May 19, 1929 in Buladean, NC. She was the daughter of the late George and Jane Oakes Campbell. She went home to be with the Lord May 27, 2021.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jess Sheets, one brother Warren Campbell, three sisters, Goldie Campbell, Bertie Ledford, and Beulah Barnett.

Survivors include, one brother TM Campbell and wife Madeline, of Buladean, NC, one daughter Patricia Robinson and husband Phil, of Spruce Pine, NC, one son LG Sheets and wife Joan, of Buladean, NC, two grandchildren, Theresa Hutchins and husband Rick, of Johnson City, TN, and David Sheets also of Johnson City, TN, two step grandchildren, Jeff Robinson of Gainesville, Georgia, and Carl Robinson of Morganton, NC, one great granddaughter Jenna Hutchins of Johnson City, TN, many nieces, nephews, a very special friend Maddy Perkins, and a special angel Esta. She also had many wonderful family members and loads of friends that were in constant prayer for her.

She was a member of Roans Chapel Freewill Baptist Church of Buladean. She loved reading, enjoying the beauty of her flowers, and loved talking to everyone. The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge and their wonderful workers, especially Jennifer who took great care of her for several years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Campbell Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of The Blue Ridge or to Gideon's International Mitchell County Camp.  Henline - Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the Sheets family.
