Maxine H. Greene, age 88 of Laurel Street , Bakersville , NC passed away August 4, 2016 at Brian Center Spruce Pine, NC. She was a daughter of the late Claude Hoilman Sr. and Minnie Webb Hoilman. She was a member of Bakersville Baptist Church and a former member of Bakersville Order Of The Eastern Star. She was retired as a Teacher's Assistant with The Mitchell County School System.

Survivors include: two sisters; Georgia Elkins (Chuck), of Monkton , Maryland , and Martha Johnson (Edward), of Bakersville , NC , a special friend; Brenda Willis, of Bakersville , NC , and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; Ned D. Greene, a son; David Max Greene, two sisters; Lena Garland, and Beulah Kate Hoilman, and three brothers; Claude Hoilman Jr., Grover Hoilman, and Kenneth Guy Hoilman.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 3:00PM in Bakersville Baptist Church with Billy Stewart and William Ellis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery .
