DATELINE; BAKERSVILLE , NC

Maxine Street Blanton, age 77 of Jarrett Drive Bakersville , NC went home to be with the Lord July 21, 2016 . She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and a daughter of the late Howard and Gertie Beam Street . She was employed with Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation in Spruce Pine, NC as a Housekeeper. Maxine was a member of St. Paul Freewill Baptist church.

Survivors include: her husband: Alfred Blanton, of the home, two daughters; Diane Holland (Jack), of Burnsville, NC, and Kathy Woods (Kenny), of Telford, TN, one stepdaughter; Beth Ann Brewer (Jeff), of Bakersville, NC, six grandchildren; Todd Ayers, Haley Tittle, Cody Wilson, Bryan Brewer, Trevor Brewer, and Brooke Brewer, five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by: her sister; Hazel Street .

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 7:00PM in the chapel of Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Ayers and Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 2:00PM at Bakersville Memorial Cemetery ( Bakersville Cemetery Rd ).
