Maxie P. Bennett, 83, of 323 W. Conestoga St. , New Holland,PA, died Monday, October 26, 2015 at her daughter's home.  Her husband, Ray Bennett, preceded her in death in 1991.

Born in Bakersville , NC , she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Lassie (Barnett) Peterson.

Maxie had been employed by Pepperidge Farms for 22 years.

Surviving are six children:  Willard Bennett, NC; Dorothy (Naaman) Stoltzfus, Paradise, PA; Raymond (JoAnne) Bennett, Honey Brook, PA; Janice (James) New Holland, PA; Clayton (Penny) Bennett, Wagontown, PA; Dwayne (Toni) Bennett, DE; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven siblings:  Elva Bennett, PA; Janie Jones, NC; Mack Peterson, NC; Walt Peterson, NC; Anner Osborne, TN; Nora McCurry, NC; Donna Briggs, NC.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Saturday, October 31, 2015 in the chapel of Henline-Hughes Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Sunday, November 1, 2015 in the Tipton Griffith Cemetery .
