Mary Ann Young, age 59 of Hwy 197 North, Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord August 19, 2020. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC. She was a member of Ridgeview Presbyterian Church and dearly loved her grandchildren and her dog (Rebel).

Survivors include: her husband; Kenneth Young, mother; Gladys Pendley Jordan, her sons; Brandon Young (Rachel), and Ben Young (Jessica), all of Bakersville, NC, three sisters; Della Sparks and Sherry Fleming, both of Spruce Pine, NC, and Phyllis Young, of Green Mountain, NC, one brother; Kenneth Jordan, of Spruce Pine, NC, ten grandchildren; Grace, Lane, Gage, Cole, Kinlee, Ali, Lily, Clay, Luke, and Reddik.

She was preceded in death by: her father; Homer Jordan, one son; Allen Young, two brothers; Stanley and Phillip Jordan, and one grandchild; Ava.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2:00PM in Ridgeview Presbyterian Church with Brandon Young officiating. Her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Ridgeview Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
