Mary Lee Wilson Norman, age 86 of the Ledger Community, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015 in the Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory , NC . She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Addie Lee Byrd Wilson. She was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church .

Survivors include her husband, Bill G Norman; daughters: Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Wilson and husband David of Denver, NC, Billie June Hollifield and husband Coy of Bakersville and Brenda Rose and husband Mark of Newport News, VA; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Madeline Norman.

Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2015 in the Bear Creek Baptist Church with Chris Rathbone and Cass Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the special people who took such good care of our mother; Patsy Street , Kay Burleson, Darlene Green, Gertrude Willis, Nora Lee Duncan, Silvia Wright, and Lisa Hoilman, the staff at Carolinas Continue Care Hospital , and all the staff at Abbernethy Laurels including, Cassie and Michelle Sigmon.
