Mary Ann Silver Claus Harrell passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at home. She was the daughter of the late Charles Patton and Ruth Wyatt Silver of Spruce Pine, NC.  She was retired from Blue Ridge Hospital in Spruce Pine where she worked as a telephone operator.

Survivors include her close personal friend; Charles Woods of Asheville, NC, a daughter Jacqueline Fox, and husband Shawn of Clemmons, NC. Four grandchildren; Christopher Cook of Marion, NC, Baileigh and Benjamin Whipple, and Savannah Fox of Clemmons, NC. One great grandchild, Kayla Cook, and one great, great granddaughter; Lexi Cook both of Bakersville, NC. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Grindstaff of Greenville, SC, and two brothers, David Silver and wife Maria of Spruce Pine, NC and Michael Silver, of Riverside, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Harrell of Spruce Pine, and brothers, Joseph and Mark Silver of Spruce Pine, NC. One daughter, Judy Michaela Cook of Asheville, NC and a great grandson; Dustin Cook of Bakersville, NC.

Many thanks to Hospice of Buncombe County NC and Rowan County NC who kept her as comfortable as possible in her last days.

A celebration of Life will be held on Saturday November 21 ^st , 7:00 pm at Blue Ridge Music and Memories Museum 1011 Oak Ave Spruce Pine NC 28777.
