Mary Pendley, age 96 of Spruce Pine, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Mitchell House. She was the daughter of the late Burton and Mamie Pitman Pendley. She was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church. Mary loved people and she was a great cook and loved to work in her garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Fred, Troy and William Pendley and Maggie Nola Pendley and Violet Pendley.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Roger Pendley of Spruce Pine and a special grand niece, Tracie P. Ramsey of Marion, NC.

A private graveside service will be held for the family in the Pendley Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Pendley Cemetery Fund, c/o Roger Pendley, 116 Summer Hill Ln, Spruce Pine, NC 28777.
