Mary Louise McKinney Young, 65, of McKinney Cove Rd., Bakersville, NC went home to be with the Lord August 23, 2021. She was a native of Mitchell County, NC and previously employed in childcare. She attended Grace Baptist Church and loved her grandchildren, attending church, and being outdoors.

Survivors include her husband Larry Young, one daughter Maria Hope Schell (Michael), stepsons Edward and David Young, two brothers Robert and Ronnie Street, four grandchildren Kylie, Ivory, and Amber McKinney and Madison Schell, and step grandchild Ryan Schell.

She was preceded in death by her father Dallas Street, her husband Homer McKinney Jr. and two brothers Randy and Roger Street.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, September 4, 2021 in the Green Young Cemetery with Rev Lance Riddle officiating. Everyone is welcome to attend.
