Mary Virginia McCormack, 74, passed away at Southside Regional Medical Center on Friday, July 28, 2017. Born on March 11, 1943, to the late James Woodrow and Grace Autrey Willis, Mary was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Sturgill. Mary was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church and the owner and operator of her own business, McCormack Gifts & Collectibles. She is survived by her loving husband of over 20 years, Richard G. McCormack, Sr.; her son, James Sturgill of Chester; a brother, Gene Willis and his wife, Sandy of North Carolina, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church, 1226 W. Roslyn Rd, Colonial Heights, VA 23834 with a visitation an hour before the service. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Lily Branch Baptist Church Cemetery, 3125 Snow Creek Rd, Bakersville, NC 28705. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Richmond Animal League, 11401 International Dr., North Chesterfield, VA 23236, or the Colonial Heights Animal Shelter, 301 Charles H.
